How much does a website cost?
There are a number of factors that affect the final cost of your web site. These factors include the complexity, whether you’re selling a product or not, the graphic work, and how interactive your future web site will be. You will also need web hosting and domain name registration, and possibly maintenance. The design and registration will be one time fees, but hosting and maintenance a reoccurring monthly fee.
Do I need a local web designer?
By using the Internet, email and the telephone, it is possible to communicate effectively with clients in any location, although some customers are more comfortable meeting in person. We consider ourselves a Nashville Webdesign company.
How long does it take?
Just like the cost, the time frame is determined by a number of different factors and varies from site to site. But an average sized site usually takes no longer then 2- 4 weeks.
What is a domain name?
A domain name is a specific web site address that you choose and register. Our domain name is “housecatproductions.com”.
Do I need your hosting?
Just contact us and we’ll take care of it for you. We will transfer your domain name along with all of your existing web sites content.

What is web hosting?
Web hosting is your web site’s home on the Internet. It’s required to have your site accessible over the internet and is usually accompanied by a monthly payment that can be seen as paying “rent” for your site to stay online.
What is site maintenance?
Maintenance is general up keep and updating of content on your web site. It is usually accompanied by a monthly payment. Most good web sites have new content updated regularly. Keeping a website up-to-date is essential in having repeat visitors to your site. Updating the site with sales, articles, new products, newsletters, press releases, financial figures and links are all examples of website maintenance.
What about search engines?
Once your site has been submitted to the top search engines they may require several weeks or even months to actually visit and list your web site in their directory. How fast your site is listed depends on each individual search engine. As part of having your site designed with House Cat Productions, we will optimize and submit you site to all relative search engines.

What do I need to get online?
Brochures, logos, photographs, business cards etc. are all great resources to use. House Cat Media will walk you through the whole process.

Yes. If your logo and promotional materials are not in electronic format, we can convert them to a format appropriate for your website.
Do I need to be computer literate?
No, you do not need to own a computer or have computers involved in your business in order to have a website. Creating a website is more about exposing your business to new potential clients and generating new sales. There is no need to overhaul the way your company does business.
Do you have a pricelist?
Since no two projects are exactly the same, a generalized pricelist doesn’t really apply. Unlike some other companies we don’t just use a template. Everything we build is a custom design fashioned to the needs of the individual design. Feel free to contact us with details about your site and we will provide you with a free estimate of you project’s cost.
What should I do to get started?
The main thing is to gather up the information you would like on your site. Any existing marketing materials, newsletters, etc. would be helpful. We prefer that the information come to us in digital form, however, we can scan graphics and perform data entry.
Is a website worth the money?
Yes. A web site for your business will make information about your business more wildly available to a larger audience. You can attract more traffic to your site by putting your website address on your stationery, business cards, and signage. It can act as a 24/7 store front and customer support.
Do I need a website & why?
There is literally no company out there that cannot benefit from having a web presence, even if it’s the most simple web presence. A simple site that just lists out the location of your business can help. More and more people use the web daily to check on information, shop products, and find out how to get a hold of people.
