Got online today to find a post from Courtney that BloggingZoom has been hacked.
It’s really sad to see BZ getting targeted like this. It really is a nice concept of a site. If you don’t know what BZ is, you should check it out when its back up. It is a little like Digg in the way it works, but is very different in concept. BZ is a “digg like” site for bloggers. One of the major differences in the site is that bloggers can self promote their own posts and articles. Its a great way to for us all to get behind each other with a common goal of success. Its also a great place to share your posts directly to bloggers.
I think my article yesterday: The Beautiful Mind Of Keyword Sniping hit on part of the philosophy of BloggingZoom. It was a great place for bloggers to collaborate and promote amongst ourselves. It built community between bloggers. Its the idea of working together on a singular project to encourage the success of all parties involved.
One great benefit of this situation though, is it could bring lots of attention to BloggingZoom. Everyone one, even web designers, love drama. As more and more bloggers react to this (like I am in this post) the more link juice is pumped into Courtney’s post, and ultimately BloggingZoom. If it wasn’t coming from Court, I’d consider this a great linkbait post. But Court has been nothing but helpful to me and many other bloggers, so I have no problem sending some link love his way. Hell, he has a static link on my blogroll.

The Beautiful Mind of Keyword Sniping
I’ve been following Courtney Tuttle’s site closely over the past month. I really enjoy his series on Keyword Sniping. One thing I noticed when hunting down his sites to watch what he was doing, was that I found some of his readers attempting to mimic his work. They picked the same keywords or similar keywords.
How to Handle Google Sandbox
Everyone has heard of the Google sandbox, and some debate if it is real or not. I personally think is does, and have been effected by it first hand. A while back, I posted about a site of mine that was sandboxed. It happened using Courtney Tuttle’s Keyword Sniping Theme. Well Courtney wrote a post in reply
Got Sandboxed Using WordSniper Theme
So, I’ve been using Court’s Wordsniping techniques to target keywords. This post is not to knock the concept, but to put a warning out to you guys to be careful. The KeywordSniping theme works, and in my case, it worked too well. I selected a keyword that I don’t feel comfortable sharing. Not because I’m scared of

Thanks a million for helping us to get the word out on this. I wish it was linkbait because that would mean Vic and I wouldn’t have to put in an extra ten hours today.
